Community Coordinator - Not Available June 13-14

Hi All,

I wanted you all to know that I am getting married this weekend! I only tell you because I will not be available.

I know there have been many questions about the pool, and that it is inconvenient timing for me to be unavailable, but I didn’t plan on this all happening at the same time!

I will do my best to get everyone the info they need, but this weekend I will not be available at all. Read through my previous posts to try and answer your own questions, ask the neighbors, ask lifeguards, as our pool manager… I will get to your email from the weekend as soon as possible.

In addition, if you sign up for the pool later than Friday at 10:00 am, I cannot promise you will be in the system until Monday. Thanks for everyone’s patience and understanding. This process truly hasn’t been easy for anyone, it has been a lot of work for many people - the board, the pool, the lifeguards… and will continue to be a work in progress :) We have never done this before either - obviously, and we know this system isn’t perfect. But thank you for trying to understand and work with what is going on right now.

Best,

Dani Hart

Pool Opening - Answered Waiver Questions...

There are questions about if a waiver is needed for those that have turned one in for swim team already and if we really need to collect one per household member. The first answer is yes, you will need an additional one separate from swim team. The second answer is no. We changed it for you! Here is a new WAIVER that can include your whole household. Please bring this in person to the pool to get in.

Pool Opening - How to Log In!!

We are experiencing difficulty with those that have registered getting the initial email. If you haven't received the email, but did fill out the Google Form. Do the following:

Go to buckinghorsepool.com and click "Sign in Here” in the top left corner. Use the email you signed up with and use the pin, 1111.

If it doesn't let you in, then you aren't in the system yet. Please be patient. We will get you in the system!! There are so many people. But we are trying our absolute best.

Pool Opening - Lap Swim

If you would like to participate in lap swim hours, the first open day will be Wednesday, June 10th. In order to participate, you will have to come IN PERSON to the pool during open hours at least one day before your first reservation. You will just tell the lifeguard at the desk that you would like to sign the waiver for lap swim. You must be 18 years or older to do so. They will then give you instructions for entry.

Pool Opening - Answered Questions on Reservations

Hi All,

Thank you for notifying me that the waiver link was not working. It should work now, it is located on the last post in the same location - the link should be fixed.

I am also getting many questions about pool reservations and how it will work to ensure everyone gets a chance to make reservations. Thank you for asking this questions, as obviously I missed that in my initial post!

Currently, we have the system set up to allow a max of 1 reservation per day per primary membership account. Reservations are only available 7 days in advance and only 3 total reservations can be made within 7 days. We can adjust this later, but we do want to make sure everyone can get to the pool.

Reservation time blocks of 1.5 hours each start at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, and 7pm. Please be patient as we get everyone checked in, especially in the first few days.

We will all have to figure out how to best use this system together. After a week or two, we may decide to change this depending on the use of the pool.

I know there are also additional questions about the waiver, if one is really needed for each person and if one is needed for a swim team member who has given a waiver to participate. I am waiting back to hear on these answers and will post another update as soon as I hear.

Pool Opening - PLEASE READ

Hi Neighbors,

We are so excited! Larimer County Health Department has cleared pools to open with specific restrictions. We are set to open on Tuesday, June 9th for both lap swim and daytime swim hours. Reading the entirety of this message will be very helpful for you and your family for this pool season.

-

We will have to use a reservation system for this pool season, as we must limit the number of guests at the pool at a time. To use the pool this season, each household will need to register by completing this form: https://forms.gle/4kQsacWF5TMxRDiz7. Please also print and bring a signed copy of this WAIVER to the pool for your household. If you forget, they will have paper copies there for each member to sign. Once you have registered on the form, you will receive an email as soon as you are put into the system (we will do this as soon as possible) with a link to the pool's new website. From here, you can log in to add your other household members and reserve pool times. You will create a 4-digit pin to login to your account. This system will replace pool tags. A lifeguard will be doing check-ins at the front desk.

90-minute reservation blocks will be available from 9:00am-8:00pm each day in addition to lap swim from 5:30-6:30am.  Each reservation block will be followed by a 30-minute block where lifeguards will clean and sanitize for the next session. If less than 50 people are at the pool and there is space available for walk-in use during a 90-minute time block, a green flag will be visible along the southeast fence, and walk-ins will be welcome until capacity is reached. These walk-ins, however, will have to leave the pool once that 90-minute time block is up. For example, if someone came 70 minutes into the time block because a green flag was up, they would only have 20 minutes to swim. If the time block is completely full, a red flag will be on the southeast fence. Walk-in users will still need to have completed their registration and signed the waiver to use the pool. Please see below for additional information on reservations.

Due to the circumstances of this season, no guests will be allowed this summer. The only exception will be for nannies or other childcare individuals, in place of a parent that day. They will have to sign a waiver at the pool as well as be added to your membership online before coming to the pool. No big party reservations will be available this summer either. We are sorry for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

We thank you for your patience as we navigate the county guidance in place to keep us all healthy. We want this season to go smoothly and for you all to enjoy the pool while keeping each other safe! We know it may be difficult to adjust to this new system, but we appreciate your patience in advance.

We are working with the Health Department and will notify members of any changes in guidance as soon as those changes become available.

We ask that members practice physical distancing on the deck and in the pool. Face masks are recommended while on the deck if physical distancing is not possible. The deck has been marked off with areas that families can use, while keeping appropriate distance from others. We also ask that restroom use be limited to one person at a time, or one child with a parent at a time. If you have a cough or fever, please stay home and take care of yourself.

Once you get an email to access your account, here is some more information you will need:

Edit on 6/8/20 - There has been an issue with everyone receiving their emails. Once you fill out the Google Form, you will be put into the new system within 24 hours. Check the new pool website [ buckinghorsepool.com ] to see if your account is live by clicking “Sign in here” in the top left corner. Use the email you gave in the Google Form, and use the pin 1111 to enter. Thank you for your patience as we get your info into the system!

  • Setting up your account:

    • You may add two other guardians in addition to the primary account holder (which will be the person who signs up on the Google Form) under the “+ Add Family Member Check-In” button as a Sub-Account. Each Sub-Account requires a different email address. Primary and Sub-Accounts can make reservations.

    • The rest of your family members, most likely children, can be listed in the Children/Dependents section. They cannot make reservations.

    • A Primary or Sub-Account member must be present to check-in with children at the pool.

    • If you have a nanny or other guardian, you will need to add them on your membership as a Sub-Account prior to them coming to the pool. They will also need to fill out the waiver before entering the pool.

  • When making reservations:

    • Click the “Pool Reservations” tab on the Member Dashboard.

    • Reservations start on Tuesday, June 9th.

    • For Lap Swim, 5:30-6:30am, (starting Wednesday the 10th. see post above for more information) – Click the “Pool Reservations - pulldown for more options” button and select “Lap Swim Reservations”. There are 6 lanes available each morning, one swimmer per lane.

    • The regular pool hours will be 9:00am-8:00pm. Reservations are available for 1.5-hour periods beginning at 9:00am, each followed by a 30-minute closure for cleaning. This means, you will only have 9:00am-10:30am to swim. It does not mean you will be able to show up at any time within the time frame and swim for 1.5-hours.

    • Click in the white or gray box to make a reservation. Green means this slot has already been reserved.

    • There are only 10 reservation slots available to ensure we are following guidelines. A primary account member will make a reservation in a time slot for all family members. Some days, this may mean the pool has reached capacity within those 10 slots for a time block. On other days, it may not. This is where the green and red flag come in!

  • Green and Red Flags:

    • If there is room left at the pool after these reservations, a green flag will be up. You may only come without a reservation if there is a green flag up. A red flag will indicate that the pool is full. Further explanation is above.

  • To cancel your reservation:

    • You must do so before your reserved time begins. Just click “cancel” on the reservations page on your green square so others can fill your time block!

  • Weather:

    • If the pool is closed due to inclement weather, unfortunately this means your reservation will also be cancelled. Just hop online and make a new one for another day!

If there are things we missed, please email hello@buckinghorseneighborhood.com. Thank you and happy swimming!

Swim Team & Swim Lessons

Swim Team is starting again on June 1 with new rules and regulations. If you are interested in having your children on the team, please reach out to the coach, Kiana Carter. She can be reached at kcarter@fcgov.com. Age limit is 18.

Swim Lessons are also beginning. The instructor will have to remain 6 feet of all swimmers at all times. So, private lessons are only being offered to kids that can roll over, float on back, and be independent in the water. Please contact Anna, the lesson instructor, to register for private lessons. Her number is 970-443-8518. $30 for 30 minute lesson.

Pool Update

The pool is currently closed & it is unsure when it will reopen in 2020. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this pool season. As of now, we don’t know what exactly will happen with the pool opening and new rules it will enforce. Please stay tuned for these details - we will share any information as soon as we have it.

Support Local Businesses!

Hi All!

I wanted to share some information on some our local businesses up at Jessup Farm and how they will be doing business during this time.

First are the take-out menu options from our local restaurants, The Farmhouse and Cacciatore. Their menus are below and you can also visit their website for more information! Bindle is also doing pick up only as well as a new delivery option. Visit their website to order or call for more information. HEYDAY and KNAPSACK are closed but their online shop is still open! The Barrel House is open from 12-7:00 pm for to-go beer and merchandise purchases. All of these businesses are such a big part of our neighborhood. I encourage you to continue to support them if you can, by purchasing a gift card or continuing to order from them!

Traffic Update from the City of Fort Collins

From the City of Fort Collins:

"We’re planning to install one more traffic hump on Nancy Gray between Miles House and the new RR track crossing. The patterns of traffic we’re seeing indicate a heavy movement from Miles House to the new connection. We weren’t able to get that installed before the end of construction season in the fall, so it’s on the schedule for this year.

We’re also completing an operational analysis of the intersection of Miles House and Drake Road. Now that the connection has been open for a few months and the traffic patterns seem to be establishing themselves, we’ll take a look at how that intersection has changed, and how’s its functioning.

We continue to work with Liberty Common school on their transportation patterns – both vehicular and with the new connection bike / ped routes from Bucking Horse to the school. We’re reviewing the best way to help students get from the school to the Poudre Trail. "
